Why Remove Insulation?

Insulation removal is the first and most important step in mold remediation. Over time, attic insulation can absorb moisture, collect rodent droppings, or become compacted and ineffective. If your insulation smells musty, feels damp, or is visibly discolored, it may be doing more harm than good.

When Should You Remove Insulation?

Common reasons include water leaks, visible mold, rodent infestations, and preparing for new insulation or air sealing upgrades. If you're unsure, our team offers free inspections and honest assessments.

Mold Remediation

Our Insulation Removal Process

We use a commercial insulation vacuum system and HEPA containment to protect your air quality throughout the removal process.

01.

Inspect and Prep the Attic

It starts with a thorough inspection to locate mold, moisture, and signs of contamination. Once prepped, we vacuum out insulation using long hoses connected to sealed, heavy-duty bags outside your home. If insulation is wet or clumped, we manually remove it first.

02.

Clean and Treat the Space

Next, we clean the space with HEPA vacuums and, when needed, apply antimicrobial treatments to exposed surfaces. The area is then dried and evaluated for proper airflow before we recommend reinstallation.

03.

Optional – Upgrade With Reinsulation & Air Sealing

After removal, we can install new, mold-resistant insulation and seal air leaks to prevent future moisture buildup. This step maximizes efficiency and protects your attic long-term.
